What is Frontline Solutions at the Dr. Peter Centre?

Locally, people know the Centre for the work we do providing care and support for the Sidelined 2% in Vancouver. Nationally, however, our Frontline Solutions team is recognized as a leader in capacity building, connection and community-based solutions for the frontline sector.

Since 2015, Frontline Solutions has been supporting other organizations across Canada through one-to-one mentorship, immersive & experiential training, sharing our model of care, leading community of practice groups, issuing microgrants, and working with communities, through Indigenous, Black-led, and lived/living-experience-led partners, to shape care around how each community understands its own health and wellness.

We are the on-the-ground team for the Dr. Peter Centre, tackling the problems that other people can’t solve through an innovative, responsive mix of practices:

  • We drive broad initiatives to connect, engage, and strengthen the capacity of frontline organizations nation-wide
  • We amplify the voices of those sidelined by society
  • And we help communities identify local solutions, adopt/adapt the DPC Model, launch community-led initiatives and explore culturally sensitive solutions

Below, explore a few of our recent projects to get a sense of how we're advancing health equity and community prosperity across the country.
