"Remember to dance in the rain."

Why did you choose these words?

This is how I look at life – never mind if it is raining - enjoy, laugh, garden, dance, feel alive!!!

How does this relate to your experience at the Dr. Peter Centre?

This is how I approach every day at the Centre. Rain or shine, I am always happy to be here. No matter what comes my way, I am here for them.

What led you to the Dr. Peter Centre?

I wanted to do work that made a positive impact and a difference in people’s lives – to connect.

What is most important about the Dr. Peter Centre to you?

Everything. My time spent engaging with our participants and residents means the world to me and is truly fulfilling and deeply meaningful.

What would you like people to know about the Dr. Peter Centre?

Just what I tell them - This is a wonderful and amazing place. The staff here are tight and our experiences change our lives and the people we provide services to. I knew from the first year I worked here I was exactly where I was supposed to be.

What would you like people to know about HIV and AIDS?

It’s a compromised immune system and that’s it. It never even crosses my mind to ever worry about becoming ill or contracting the virus, and I have worked here for 13 years. I feel privileged to have been given the name "Mother Earth", and that I get to spend my days giving and receiving hugs - how lucky am I?
