Why did you choose these words?
I said this because I believe it’s important to move forward and not get stuck in the past.
What led you to the Dr. Peter Centre?
I moved here from the Philipines in 2004. I worked as a cleaner at BCIT downtown, but the company I worked for closed, and I applied for the job here. I feel like this is a good place. People are nice. I am happy to work with the residents on the third and the fourth floors and meet the participants.
What is most important about the Dr. Peter Centre to you?
You see people coming here, and it’s like a family.
What would you like people to know about HIV and AIDS?
Not to be scared. I have been asked if I’m scared to work here. I’ve worked here for eight years, and I’m not scared.
