Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer at the Dr. Peter Centre. Volunteers enrich life at the Dr. Peter Centre, bringing with them a wealth of experience, expertise and energy. They also bring compassion and companionship.

There are diverse ranges of activities in which volunteers can participate, including Day Health Program Volunteer Opportunities, Residence Volunteer Opportunities, and Special Event Volunteering.

New volunteers must attend an initial two-day training and orientation session, which is offered three times each year. In order to be considered for the next volunteer training sessions on June 14, 2008 and June 21, 2008, volunteer applications must be received no later than May 26, 2008.

We are looking for volunteers who:

• are at least 19 years old with previous volunteer experience;
• are able to make a minimum six month commitment to the volunteer program;
• are committed to the Mission and Values of the Dr. Peter Centre;
• are willing to provide a police record check; and
• have skills, strengths and experience to carry out their volunteer assignments.
