Nursing Positions - Dr. Peter Centre Day Health Program
The Dr. Peter Centre provides Comfort Care for people living with HIV/AIDS. Comfort Care is holistic health care with a commitment to acceptance so that strength and hope are possible. In addition to HIV/AIDS, most people who are cared for at the centre also have multiple illnesses, disabilities and disadvantaged life circumstances.
The centre's Day Health Program requires currently registered Baccalaureate prepared nurses for both permanent and casual coverage between 0830 and 1600 Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities include ongoing nursing assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care using a self-care model in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
Successful candidates require:
- Experience with community care, addictions and mental health issues
- Excellent assessment and conflict resolution skills
- Knowledge of harm reduction approaches.
