Community Kudos
Building strong relationships with members of our community is critical to our success. We gratefully acknowledge your support.
Whole Foods Markets
Everybody loves chocolate! And they certainly did at the Whole Foods/Capers 3rd annual Chocolatefest! Chocolatefest invites customers to purchase a 'menu passport' that allows them to roam the store and taste chocolate samples from a number of local and international vendors. We were pleased to be presented with a cheque for $1,000 from Whole Foods in West Vancouver.
The Printing House Limited
We are delighted to be a beneficiary of The Printing House Limited 2009 TPH Greeting Card Campaign. For over a decade, The Printing House Limited has donated 100 percent of the selling price of their seasonal greeting cards to food-assistance programs across Canada. In February, The Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation was presented with a cheque for $9,500.
Team TELUS Cares

TELUS is committed to making a positive difference in the communities where we live, work and serve. Through its team member charitable giving program, TELUS matches team member and retiree charitable donations dollar for dollar. This year, combined with team member & retiree donations, TELUS presented a cheque for over $11,000 benefiting the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation and Dr. Peter Centre.
Vancouver Front Runners
We are pleased to be the charity of choice for Vancouver Front Runners and the 2009 Pride Run and Walk. Participants and their supporters raised $1,700 for the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation.
M.A.C. AIDS Fund
Artists from M.A.C. Cosmetics brought a sense of "style" to health care when they dropped off a cheque from the M.A.C. AIDS Fund for $45,000. The money will go to establish a Foot Care Clinic in the Dr. Peter Centre West End helping to conintue our goal of maintaining a high standard of quality of care.
RBC Foundation

Graham MacLachlan, RBC Regional President for British Columbia, serves breakfast with Peter’s mom, Shirley Young, in the Café at Dr. Peter Centre West End. RBC and the Young family share a strong and long-lasting relationship. Peter’s father Bob worked at RBC for 36 years, Peter worked at various branches while he was a student, and many other family members have also been bank employees. RBC was the first corporate donor to support the capital campaign to build Dr. Peter Centre West End, and the RBC Foundation committed $50,000 in support of the Art and Music Therapy programs at the Centre.
Vancouver Bar Association
Demonstrating their commitment to our community, the Vancouver Bar Association donated the proceeds from the silent auction at their Annual General Meeting to the Dr. Peter Foundation. The auction raised $7,482.52 last November for our ongoing work at the Centre and Foundation.
