Banner Project

Thanks to the generous support of Telus and Vancity, vibrant banners depicting the Dr. Peter Centre adorned the Granville Street Bridge in 2006. Featuring a painting by Tiko Kerr, the banners are now available for purchase with all proceeds going to the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation.

Kerr’s dramatic artwork recognizes the care and support provided at the Dr. Peter Centre and the pioneering role that Vancouver has played in HIV/AIDS care. The city caught the world's attention with the breakthrough in life-extending HIV drug therapies that was announced at the International AIDS Conference held in Vancouver in the summer of 1996.

“It was truly amazing to see my painting of the Dr. Peter Centre come to life on the Granville Street Bridge,” says Tiko Kerr. “And I'm especially proud that monies from the sale of the banners will help the Dr. Peter Centre support people living with HIV/AIDS in the community.”

A limited number of Dr. Peter Centre street banners are available at a cost of $100. To order, please call 604.331.3452 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
